Casey J. Nickel,  graduated in December 2018 with a degree in Political Science from Simpson College. During her time at Simpson, Casey clerked for now Senate President Amy Sinclair, worked as a Field Director for the Iowa Senate Majority Fund, and interned with the Iowa Senate Republican Caucus Staff. After graduation, Casey worked in the United States Senate before returning to Iowa to take a position as a Client Services Coordinator for the Ames Chamber of Commerce. Casey began working with Brad Epperly and Dustin Miller as the Legislative Coordinator at Nyemaster Goode in 2020 and was promoted to Director of Nyemaster Strategies in 2022. In 2024, Casey joined Epperly and Miller at their newly formed lobby practice, CWL Group, as the Director of Government Affairs. Her skills, knowledge of the process and relationships with legislators provide CWL Group clients with a governmental affairs package that is responsive to the client’s needs. Casey provides clients with relative information, guidance and assistance in conformity to fit their organization’s structure well beyond the basic legislative advocacy product.
